Hello minions!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a rose out of clay? Making a polymer clay rose isn't as hard as you may think. It just requires a little bit of practice! You can use this method for lots of things.
What You'll Need:
-Polymer Clay (Preferably red, pink, or white)
-Toaster Oven
Let's start this tutorial!
First, roll a ball of polymer clay into a carrot shaped structure. To do this, you roll a chunk the size of your pinkie nail into a ball. Then roll the ball forward and backward pressing one side of the ball. Does it look like a carrot? Now flatten it. It should be thin but not too thin! It should look like the clay in the image above!
Next, starting at the pointy end, roll it into the rose base.
It should now be rolled up like this.
Next, get some polymer clay balls and flatten it. Make sure they are slim but not too slim. These are your petals.
Begin layering the petals around the rose until it looks like the rose below. One tip I have is to pinch the petals so that it's pointed like real roses and slightly bend the pointed end down.
Now, bake them into a toaster oven for about 5 minutes at 275 degrees. Keep checking to make sure they aren't burning!
I hope you like the rose you made! If you don't like it, keep making it. You'll get better at it and you'll develop the skill needed to make a polymer clay rose.
What's your favorite flower?
